private Sailing lessons
A lesson on one of our J/22 sailboats
AYC’s sailing instructors are available for individually structured private lessons arranged with your sailing goals and time constraints in mind. Lessons are most commonly offered on our J/22s, but JY15 and Laser private lessons are also available. Private lessons are ideal for an adult who learning how to sail for the first time, for someone who sailed as a youth and wants to get back in to the sport, or as preparation for J/22 certification.
Private lessons are also good for children who may be uncertain about sailing, to give them a taste of the sport and build confidence on the water before enrolling in the junior sailing program.

$90 one person, two hours (+$20/additional person)
Non-Member:
$120 one person, two hours (+$40/additional person)
