about AYC's private lessons
AYC’s team of US Sailing certified instructors are available for teaching private lessons structured with your individual sailing goals in mind. Lessons are available on all of our sail boats! Learn to sail everything from an Opti to a J/22!
Private lessons are ideal for an adult who learning how to sail for the first time, for someone who sailed as a youth and wants to get back in to the sport, or as preparation for J/22 certification. Adult lessons are typically taught on our J/22's but also are available on our newest addition to the fleet: RS Quest & RS Zest, and the classics: Laser & C420.
Private lessons are also good for children who may be uncertain about sailing, to give them a taste of the sport and build confidence on the water before enrolling our junior sailing program. Learn to single-hand sail Opti's (taught from a coach boat) or double-hand sail an RS Quest or RS Zest with your instructor in the boat with you.
